Branding for two distinct sailing experiences & new website with booking platform for Taupo Sailing Adventures

CLIENT

Any business going through growth or significant change will be presented with a need to rebrand or refresh – to reflect the positive change and reposition your offering to new audiences. This was the exciting motivation for Taupo Sailing Adventures!

We were asked to create an umbrella brand for two of Taupo’s most popular sailing experiences, Sail Fearless and Kindred Spirit.

SOLUTION

The goal was to create a brand that reflects the company’s values and characteristics: Personal and relaxed but professional – simply the best experience on Lake Taupō.

The challenge was to create an identity that would appeal to both the budget traveller and the upper-class customer visiting New Zealand.

The challenge for web was creating a unique design that represents two different experiences and atmospheres while maintaining brand consistency and delivering high-quality UX.

The result is a seamless experience from the front end, and a fully custom, easy to manage back end, and integrated booking system.

RESPONSIVE USER EXPERIENCE

The landing pages for the two sailing options, Sail Fearless and Kindred Spirit, have different but equally compelling experiences.

They are also mobile responsive, making booking any sailing adventure on the go a breeze – a must for any tourism business.

BRANDING AND DESIGN

To keep it simple when displayed alongside the existing Sail Fearless and Kindred Spirit logos, the Taupo Sailing Adventures logo needed to be clean and simple but also fun.

We translated Taupo Sailing Adventures’ points of difference – a personal approach to trips and a genuine sailing experience on boats without motors – into a visually striking brand full of personality.
